These are essentially the same site. Degree.net is far from “the complete list of colleges and universities” advertised on the home page of the site. The course listings are for only a few, select universities. Degree.net does offer “online degree forums” for specific questions. It also has excellent discussions on accreditation and determining whether a college is legitimate or a degree mill.

This site gives listings of courses and programs. It also offers “helpful information for potential or current graduate students on how to apply, how to get in, how to write your first graduate essay, and much more.”

Peterson's Guide is a popular print publication about the offerings at colleges and universities. This site has a very extensive listing of distance learning courses and programs.

The World Lecture Hall (WLH) is probably a better resource for faculty than students, but it is “your entry point to free online course materials from around the world.”
