Join us and become part of our premier network of members advancing the effective use of technology in higher education. From coast to coast and around the world, our members are committed to the “cooperative” spirit of the organization, sharing openly and freely new ideas, strategies, and best practices for the common good of the profession.It truly is an experience you won't find anywhere else!
As a member, your organization will designate one individual to serve as your official representative, acting as the primary contact and voting on official WCET business. All individuals affiliated with your organization - both staff and students - are eligible for the member benefits.
Eligibility
Institutions, corporations, government agencies, and non-profit organizations from around the world with an interest in educational telecommunications issues and higher education may be eligible for membership in WCET. WCET does not have a membership category for individuals.
Candidates for membership may apply in the following categories:

Educational institutions that hold accreditation or appropriate third party recognition within their country or state;

A U.S. based candidate not listed at http://www.ope.ed.gov/accreditation/Search.asp must supply the contact information for the third party agency granting it recognition as a higher education institution. WCET respects the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (www.chea.org ) as the definitive list of appropriate recognition agencies.

A non U.S. based candidate must supply for evaluation the contact information for the third party agency granting it recognition as a higher education institution.

Corporations with an interest in educational technologies and policy;

A candidate based in the U.S. must supply its FEIN number.

A candidate based outside the U.S. must supply the contact information for the agency registering it to do business in its principal location.

State or government agencies that either represent or work with higher education;

Non-governmental organizations and not-for-profit organizations whose activities can benefit from or be a benefit to WCET;

Other organizations approved by Executive Council;
Limitation of Membership
Membership in WCET does not constitute any external review of the quality of an institution or the distance learning program it provides, and should not be construed as such. Any organization violating this understanding may lose its WCET membership.

Applications from candidates for membership are accepted on an ongoing basis. To apply, complete the application and pay the dues appropriate to your membership category
